Mindfullness & Sustainability

For the past 50 years, we have witnessed first-hand the development of tourism on the island, including its impact on society and the environment. There is a fragile environmental balance on the island and the Garajonay National Park that must be preserved. We work together to make the island and the world a better place than the one we are in today.

European Chart of Sustainable Tourism

Since 1970 we have been working in cultural and rural tourism, offering in our apartments the services of a hotel with an outstanding value for money. In 2011 that bet has been translated in the adhesion of the apartments and our Ethnographic Park to the European Charter of Sustainable Tourism. Together with 20 other companies from La Gomera, we are collaborating with the National Park and the Europarc Network to promote tourism that respects the exceptional ecosystem that is La Gomera and the Garajonay National Park. The CETS (European Charter for Sustainable Tourism) was also the social engine for the achievement of the Biosphere Reserve of La Gomera. Since 2018 we have also been working with the NGO Canarias Libre de Plásticos, which works to raise awareness of the need to take care of our seas and improve our consumer habits in order to reduce our impact on the marine environment.

We enjoy quality

If in the 70's Los Telares was born as a pioneer company in rural tourism in La Gomera, in 2010 it reinvented itself as a company where quality and professionalism have been the key to growth. Improvements that have allowed us to carry the constant pulse of our commitment to quality so that guests feel pampered.

In 1988 we received the International Tourism Award. In 2013 we were awarded the Prize for Business Excellence by the Ministry of Tourism of the Canary Islands, an award that recognizes our commitment to quality and constant improvement. The prize for excellence is also given to us by our guests, who rate us in the Top 5 of La Gomera's accommodations in Tripadvisor.

We are an active part of the Association of Businesses of La Gomera North (AEN)

The Association of Businesses of North Gomera was founded in 2013. Its core mision is the defense of the businesses and the creation of a global identity and communication to improve the visibility of the North of La Gomera and its commerce. It strives also to protect and preserve the natural landscape of the area.
