This Summer the good wine and nature lovers have yet another excuse to make of Hermigua their vacations destination. Of course, first, to enjoy the freshness of their summer nights with some good wine. Now also to participate in the new organized route, the Route of the Hidden Winery, that will be celebrated weekly from this saturday 13th of July.
This new route, around Hermigua valley, will be celebrated every saturday, with a difficulty level medium-easy, during 4 hours, including wine tasting and local foodstuff tasting. The price is of 39€ per person, with guide in English and Spanish.
The route begins at the Molino de Gofio (Gofio Mill) Museum in Hermigua, situated by the main road. In the course of your trip you can enjoy the agricultural scenery with it’s terraces that make this island’s landscape so special. The trip, with its spectacular panoramic views, is a voyage through the natural and cultural heritage of the area.
In the middle of a unique landscape surrounded by mountains we find Montoro, where the wine cellar named after it is located. There you will take part in a “Tasting of Sensations” accompanied by the tasting of local agricultural products.
You will also be able to visit the fields and get to know how these special wines are made. The route ends at the Ars Septem Gallery in the same town where, from the windows of the gallery, you can see a long part of the journey. This will be the moment for the second tasting, the “Wine and Art” where you will be able to try wines with gomeran desserts.
